If you missed SpaceX and NASA rocket launch today, you can read more about it here and watch the video: National Geographic SpaceX-NASA Launches a new era of spaceflight

Have you ever wondered why mathematics is important to know when you are working through all your equations in class?

Take a look at the drone ship that recovered the booster that propelled the astronauts into space. The calculations that the team did for this launch is mind blowing. Not only did they need to know speed and trajectory (the way it was going) but they also needed to calculate wind direction and wave action for the drone ship to collect the booster from the ocean. Keep learning your math because you could be on a team someday collecting a rocket from space or anything you want to do!

Do you want to try your hand at docking the space craft to the International Space Station just like astronauts, Robert Behnken and Doug Hurley? Spacex has a ISS Docking Simulationwebsite to test your skills.

Congratulations to the teams at SpaceX and NASA for their collaboration and teamwork to make today's event successful. They had a little Mariposa M.A.G.I.C. today, too.
