Mariposa is once again in the running for the best charter school in the greater Reno-Sparks area, as voted on by the public, according to the Best of Sierra Nevada magazine. We were voted #1 last year and would like to see that happen again. The only way that is possible is by having YOU vote. The voting window is open from June 2nd through June 20th. You are able to vote once a day. Make sure to look in the Education section and choose Mariposa Academy. Thank you for supporting our school and showing the public how AWESOME we are!

We want to give a big thank you to Katie’s Grace Foundation, Amazon and Trex for partnering with our school in such a meaningful way! Through the plastic collection challenge, our students learned the importance of recycling, teamwork, and giving back to the community.
Way to go to our 4th, 5th, and STEAM classes for collecting the most plastic and being the winning team! We are so proud of your dedication and effort.
Thank you, Katie’s Grace Foundation, for the delicious snack party for the entire school and for the thoughtful gifts to our top collectors. Most of all, we’re incredibly excited to receive our very own Buddy Bench! We can’t wait to see students using it to build friendships and support one another on the playground.

Queremos dar un enorme agradecimiento a la Fundación Katie’s Grace por colaborar con nuestra escuela de una manera tan significativa. A través del reto de recolección de plástico, nuestros estudiantes aprendieron la importancia del reciclaje, el trabajo en equipo y cómo retribuir a la comunidad.
