PK and Kinder assessments start on August 15th. Please make sure to be on time to your child’s appointment. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 775-826-4040. First day of school for PK and Kinder is on Monday, August 22nd at 8:00am and need to be in full uniform. 4th Grade Spots Open!
Families, we are so thankful for your support of our school. During the month of May you helped our school to raise money by attending the Block Party and coming to the Book Fair. With your help we raised $568.81 at the Book Fair and $3300.00 at the Block Party! These funds will be used for things such as books in our school library, guest authors, and to make sure we have classes like PE and STEAM next year. Thank you for all that you do for our school! Familias, estamos muy agradecidos por su apoyo a nuestra escuela. Durante el mes de mayo usted ayudó a nuestra escuela a recaudar dinero asistiendo al Block Party y viniendo a la Feria del Libro. ¡Con su ayuda recaudamos $568.81 en la Feria del Libro y $3300.00 en la Block Party! Estos fondos se utilizarán para cosas como libros en la biblioteca de nuestra escuela, autores invitados y para asegurarnos de que tengamos clases como educación física y STEAM el próximo año. ¡Gracias por todo lo que hace por nuestra escuela!

We are excited because today is Field Day!!! It is NOT free dress, but students can wear blue shorts for their uniform and make sure to bring water and a hat for our morning of fun activities!

Families, we wrote a grant for Summer School in person at Mariposa. We are waiting to hear about the funding. We will be in contact next week about how many spots we will have open. Our program will run from June 21-July 21 8:30am-12:30pm at Mariposa on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We are also working with the Boys and Girls Club if your child needs to attend there before or after Butterfly Summer. Our program will include academic time for Math and Reading as well as Art and Science and fun play time. We will be in contact next week with more information. Thanks!

Familias, escribimos una subvención para la escuela de verano en persona en Mariposa. Estamos a la espera de saber sobre la financiación. Nos pondremos en contacto la próxima semana sobre cuántos espacios tendremos disponible. Nuestro programa se llevará a cabo del 21 de junio al 21 de julio de 8:30 am a 12:30 pm en la Academia Mariposa los martes, miércoles y jueves. También estamos trabajando con Boys y Girls Club por si su hijo necesita asistir allí antes o después de “Verano de Las Mariposas”. ¡Familias, tuvimos un miembro generoso de la comunidad que nos compró un anuario para cada estudiante de Mariposa este año! Los enviaremos a los estudiantes el 31 de mayo. ¡Somos muy afortunados de tener un regalo tan increíble para nuestros hijos! Families, we had a generous community member that purchased a yearbook for every student at Mariposa this year! We will have them out to students on May 31. We are so lucky to have such an amazing gift for our kids!

Tomorrow, Thursday 5/26, is the last day to visit the Book Fair. It will be open from 11am-4:30pm. Credit cards, check and cash are accepted.
