Familias, hemos tenido algunas preguntas sobre los disfraces en el colegio en Halloween. En respuesta a los comentarios que hemos recibido de las familias y el personal, este año estamos intentando algo diferente para celebrar el día festivo de nuestros estudiantes. Los estudiantes pueden disfrazarse y traer a sus familias el lunes 30 de octubre de 5:30 a 6:30 p. m. para nuestra jornada de puertas abiertas Glow y también participar en nuestro evento Trunk or Treat en el estacionamiento donde los estudiantes pueden recibir dulces y celebrar. Los estudiantes NO se disfrazarán para ir a la escuela el martes 31 de octubre, ya que tienen la opción de hacerlo el lunes por la noche y esto permitirá que nuestro día escolar continúe como un día escolar "normal". Gracias y veremos cómo resulta el plan este año y recibiremos sus ideas para el próximo año.
Families, we have had some questions about costumes at school on Halloween. In response to feedback that we have received from families and staff, this year we are trying something different to celebrate the holiday for our students. Students can dress up in their costumes and bring their families on Monday, October 30 from 5:30-6:30pm for our Glow Open House and also take part in our Trunk or Treat event in the parking lot where students can get candy and celebrate. Students will NOT dress up for school on Tuesday, October 31 as they have the option to do so on Monday evening and this will allow our school day to go on as a "normal" school day.

Recuerde que toda esta semana los estudiantes salen a las a las 12:30 p.m. Recuerde que los 182 estudiantes saldrán al mismo tiempo. Tendremos maestros de turno en el estacionamiento durante 15 minutos hasta las 12:45 para que los padres los recojan. Si tiene una conferencia a las 12:30, estacione en el estacionamiento al otro lado de la calle. Tenga paciencia y siga nuestro protocolo de recoger para asegurar que todos los estudiantes y el personal estén seguros.

Reminder that all this week is early release at 12:30PM. Please remember that all 182 students will be released at the same time. We will have duty teachers out in the parking lot for 15 min until 12:45 for parents to pick up. If you have a 12:30 conference please park in the lot across the street. Please be patient and follow our pick up protocol to ensure all students and staff are safe.

Familias, queremos brindarles una actualización sobre nuestro programa Team Up. Por lo general, entre 50 y 75 estudiantes asisten a Team Up y contamos con personal para respaldarlo. Este año, más de 100 estudiantes/familias mostraron interés en asistir. Families, we wanted to give you an update on our Team Up program. We usually have 50-75 students attend Team Up and we have staff to support that. This year, we had over 100 students/families say they were interested in attending. We want to make sure we have staff etc. to give a quality program to students and make sure everyone is safe. Therefore, we enrolled students in the program as registrations came in. We are working to finalize numbers and hire more staff if needed to get as many students in the program as possible. We know this can be frustrating and we apologize but we want to make sure that our staff and students are safe. If you need after care support, we work closely with the Boys and Girls Club and would be happy to assist you. The office is always open to assist with any technology/electronic question or issues you may encounter.

Mariposa families, conference week starts Monday September 18-Friday September 22. All students will be released at 12:30PM. Please make the proper arrangements so that your student is picked up on time. There will be NO TEAM-UP Thank you. Fall Picture Day is tomorrow, Friday, September 15th.
Student's are not required to wear their uniform for pictures and are welcome to a free dress day.
Photo forms were sent home with students last week. Please fill it out and have them returned to your student's classroom teacher!

In order to please help our pick up line go quickly we need the following:
1. DO NOT line up until 2:30pm as it blocks our deliveries and other traffic.
2. Pull up as far as you can.
3. If you need to buckle, pull around the corner to buckle the car seat.
4. Please have your name plate visible.

Reminder of sick policy as supported by Washoe County Health Dept: Students must be symptom free and medicine free for 24 hours prior to coming to school. Students who report they have taken medicine or have been feeling sick within 24 hours will be sent home immediately.
